We have a Slab!

Well it has been a busy few days at the block.  The beginning of the week the plumbers were in doing their thing.  Then on Wednesday the guys came to put everything in place ready for the slab to go down.  Thursday was 'D' day when we finally got the slab down.  We can actually visualise for the first time how the house will sit on the block.

Ian spoke with the Site Supervisor yesterday and he said we could put the other retaining wall up now if we want.  All the tradies break up for Christmas next tuesday and don't return till the 11th Jan.  So I guess it will be a bit quiet on our block till then.

Plumbing and Electrics

Well they have been busy onsite today putting all the plumbing in and connecting our electricity box.  There does seem to be a problem with connecting to the recycled water system for the toilets.  I need to contact Coral tomorrow and I am not a happy bunny.  Oh and guess what ..... our slab goes down on Thursday, woohoo!

Our block has been levelled!

Well the site scrape started on the 3rd/4th Dec.  We also had a meeting on site with the site manager who gave us the house key .... not that the house is even built yet!  We had to sign a bit of paper that said we wouldn't hold any kind of parties etc on the block for H&S reasons, lol!

The boys have been busy digging holes for the retaining wall that's going up.  They are back there again today .... my job to bring the refreshments, I think that I can manage that.
